Wow! Can't get better Mexican food. Everything delicious. Was tempted to order a carnitas burrito for lunch the next day. Great when you can leave a restaurant wanting more- even when you're stuffed.

Best food we have had in a very long time. We are from Denver and were stopping through. We were blown away!! The ceviche is phenomenal! The salsa is perfect. The stacked enchiladas melt in your mouth. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Don't pass this one up!

We LOVED this restaurant! For starters, I ordered the Hornitos margarita, and my husband ordered the Skinny M. Both were made with freshly squeezed orange and lime juice. Yummy!My husband (who hates spicy food) ordered the three carne asada chimichanga combination plate--and he LOVED it! Not a hint of spice!! It was, "One of the best Mexican restaurant experiences of my life," he said.I ordered the cheese enchilada, chicken taco (crunchy), and chili rellano combination plate. For extra kick, I added a side of Hatch chili! Everything was savory, flavorful, and perfectly spicy. To wrap it up, we enjoyed the Moose & More Fried Ice Cream--a cinnamon creamy concoction (partnered with a local ice creamery) deep fried in a Corn Flake and crunch shell.Soooo delicious!

Came in after 3 on a Friday with my girlfriend. Not busy. Waitress came out and soon sat us. Chips and salsa came out immediately along with affordable Mexican beer. Salsa is awesome! I ordered the chicken mole and she ordered the green Chile pork burrito. Portions were huge and delicious. The mole was superb. I just found another reason to come to Cortez. Service was great and food came quick. Thanks!

Without doubt this is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. You can taste the original Mexican recipes in a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The service was perfect and fast, I will be back again for sure.

Stopped here in our way through town. Good, authentic cuisine. I had the taco salad with shredded beef- delicious. My husband had the green Chile pork burrito. It was a big one and he finished every last bite. We also tried the chorizo queso. If you are used to creamy white queso maybe stay away from this. It almost seemed like melted shredded cheese (only bad thing). Margaritas were excellent!!

Amazing flavor. Stopped here based on local and online recommendations. The fish tacos were spectacular. The service was top notch.

I was really impressed with this restaurant. Attentive waiter, and amazing food. The queso was to die for! I do not particularly care for Mexican food - came with the family - but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and time here. I definitely plan on coming back.

Fast service, great food and didn't give us stink eye when we asked to customize our fajita order. Spent only $35 on two beers and fajitas for two. We'll be going back before we leave town, for sure.

Hilarious service and good food. Even enjoyed a flan with coffee after lunch. Waiter was from Jalisco and was a great addition to a very enjoyable visit.

Literally the best restaurant I have ever been to. Our food hasn’t even arrived and I love it here. The waiter is the nicest person ever and is super sweet. I wish we could come here everyday but we live in the other side of the country.

Excellent food and service. We used to eat at other places in town, but Gustavo’s by far has the best food and prices. The servers are so wonderful and kind. I had the Mole Pollo, and my boyfriend had a combination. The house margarita and flan (not pictured lol) were delicious!!!
